Paul Neider, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Neider has taken care of animals his entire life. He started as a kid by helping with the horses and barn cats at his uncle's farm, to staying up all night caring for sick calves, to volunteering at shelters, and then deciding to make it his life's work. After graduating from WCVM in 2000, he worked at mixed animal veterinary clinics and spent many 24 hour shifts caring for everything from cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens and of course his favorite animals, dogs and cats. He opened his first of three small animal veterinary hospitals in Calgary, Alberta in 2003, and until 2014 enjoyed all aspects of running busy veterinary practices. After selling his practices he moved to Kelowna BC to spend more time doing what he loves outside, mountain biking, hiking, boating and skiing. He continued working and enjoying shifts at emergency hospitals and local clinics while pursuing some of his other business interests. A love of cars, a great group of entrepreneurial friends, and maybe a little luck, allowed him to become a founding partner in the largest F1 racetrack in Canada (Area 27).
Dr. Neider's latest venture finally brought him to the state of Texas, a dream of his for many years. Having settled in Frisco, and found many of his favorite places to eat (there are so many here!), he is enjoying meeting the kind people of Texas and exploring all there is to see and do. Being able to work at Frisco West has been very rewarding and he is looking forward to helping the many dogs and cats of the Frisco area. Internal medicine, surgery and dentistry are his passions and with such a busy, well equipped hospital, everyday is an opportunity to help pet parents keep their fur kids healthy and happy. The staff at Frisco West are truly incredible and absolutely devoted to the animals they care for everyday. Dr Neider's two shelties, Syrah and Flick, have also embraced the friendly, relaxed Texas lifestyle, and can sometimes be seen working hard at the clinic (...sleeping)! Dr. Neider looks forward to meeting the many people who have trusted Frisco West to care for their pets for so many years.
